Prosthodontics
Official recognition of the Specialist Dentist Education Program nationally is marked by the issuance of Decree No. 139/DIKTI/Kep/1984 regarding the designation of 4 (four) centers for the Specialist Dentist Education Program, namely the Faculty of Dentistry at the Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Universitas Airlangga. This was followed by the issuance of Decree No.141/DIKTI/Kep/1984 regarding the opening of 7 (seven) Specialist Dentist Education Programs (PPDGS), one of which is the Prosthodontics Study Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada, which was first opened on 8 December 1984.
The Specialist Study Program in Prosthodontics at FKG UGM aims to produce graduates who can become seven stars dentists, serving as care providers, decision-makers, communicators, managers, researchers, community leaders, creators, and innovators. UGM values are also instilled in its graduates to become individuals with creative thinking and critical analytical skills, successful lifelong learners striving for professional excellence, and possessing a strong national character with a sense of citizenship.

Vision
The Specialist Study Program in Prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada, aims to become an excellent and globally-minded program in education, research, community service, and specialized dental and oral health care in the field of Prosthodontics, guided by cultural values and professionalism based on Pancasila.
Mission
To improve the oral and dental health of the Indonesian public by providing excellent specialized education in Prosthodontics, conducting research supported by the latest developments in science, and engaging in community service (PkM).
