Department of Oral Medicine FKG UGM Undergoes Minimum Accreditation Process for the Oral Medicine Specialist Program

Yogyakarta, 11-12 January 2024 – The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) has reached the final stage in the process of opening the Oral Medicine Specialist Study Program. This process is marked by completing the minimum accreditation by assessors from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes).

Two assessors were present for the visitation: Dr. drg. Harum Sasanti, Sp. PM, Supsp., Non-Inf.(K) and Dr. drg. Haris Nasutianto, M. Kes., Sp. RKG (K).

This assessment is crucial to ensure that the program being opened meets the national standards for health education, thereby producing competent and high-quality graduates in the field of oral medicine.

Accreditation is the final stage of the three main processes undertaken by the Department of Oral Medicine at FKG UGM to open the specialist program. With the successful attainment of minimum accreditation from LAM-PTKes, FKG UGM is deemed capable of running its newest study program. This success also supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education.
