Department of Oral Diseases FKG UGM Holds Workshop on Finalization of Curriculum for Specialist Dentistry Program in Oral Diseases

The Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), through the Department of Oral Diseases (IPM), held a “Workshop on Finalizing the Curriculum for the Specialist Dentistry Program in Oral Diseases” on Friday, 14 June 2024. 

This event took place in the Auditorium Room of the Margono Suradji Building at FKG UGM as part of the preparations for the opening of the Specialist Dentistry Program in Oral Diseases in the upcoming 2024-2025 Fall Semester.

The workshop featured Dr. dr. Widyandana, MHPE, Ph.D., Sp. M(K), as the keynote speaker, who presented on the topic of “Integration of Clinical Learning and Hospital Services in the Curriculum of Specialist Dentistry Education.” 

Dr. Widyandana emphasized the importance of integrating clinical learning and hospital services in the curriculum, which is expected to have a positive impact on the quality of hospital services.

This activity was seen as an important step in ensuring that the curriculum being developed meets academic standards and aligns with hospital healthcare service needs. 

With this finalized curriculum, the Specialist Dentistry Program in Oral Diseases is expected to produce competent specialists who will contribute to improving public health.

This event marks an important milestone for FKG UGM. It aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3, which aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
