The meeting at FKG UGM on 11 August 2025 marked a collaboration with the University Medical Centre Groningen , represented by Prof. Dr. M.J.H. Witjes, drg. Anrizandy Narwidina, MDSc, Sp.KGA., Ph.D., as Head of the Cooperation and International Affairs Unit of FKG UGM, Vice Dean for Research & Cooperation of FKG UGM drg. Triana Wahyu Utami, Ph.D., Director of HR and Academics RSA UGM Prof. apt. Ika Puspita Sari, M.Si., Ph.D., and dr. Ade Febrina L, M.Sc., Sp.A.(K) as Director of Medical Services RSA UGM. drg. Triana Wahyu Utami, Ph.D., familiarly called drg. Mamik, expressed her appreciation for the visit and the planned collaboration, particularly in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. This activity is expected to be a good start for the development of the faculty and the university hospital through sustainable international activities. “Prof. Witjes will join and visit RSA UGM. This program continues further collaborations, particularly from medical institutions as well as from research and beyond,” said drg. Mamik.
“I am already impressed; I have only been here for three hours, and at the hospital, I was impressed with the organization, with the people, the loyalty, and the open mentality that exist here. I feel very interested in connecting with another culture, to see how they work and how we can learn together. And that is also the reason when drg. Sutji asked me to consider coming here or at least becoming part of the international group,” explained Prof. Witjes.
Naturally, because academic collaboration has been established for a long time, what is very interesting is that there is substantial research. From there, the most important aspect is collaboration. Collaboration always requires relationships with people who are interconnected. So, in my view, at least I hope there will be a long-lasting relationship, which has already been running for 20 years. Hard work must be done by all elements, but without the support of the leaders of this institution, it would be impossible to grow.
