Today (26/4), the Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) held a Courtesy Meeting with Prof. Ajoy Roychoudhury.
The meeting discussed potential collaborations between the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program and other academic departments. Prof. Ajoy Roychoudhury, an expert in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, hails from the All-India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), the premier medical institution in India for many years. While they do not offer an undergraduate program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, they have a postgraduate program with a three-year curriculum design.
During the meeting, an exchange program (for students or staff) between UGM and AIIMS was proposed. Prof. Ajoy also agreed to deliver lectures to our students online and offline. Regarding the agenda of adjunct professorship, Prof. Ajoy will become a part of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at FKG UGM.
This meeting is a tangible proof of FKG UGM's commitment to realizing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly pillar 4, which focuses on Quality Education. By producing dental health graduates through quality education, FKG UGM contributes to the ongoing effort to produce quality specialist graduates.
This meeting is hoped to provide good opportunities for establishing international cooperation between the two institutions.
