The Kedaireka Matching Fund program is an initiative by the Directorate General of Vocational Education, where the government matches funds and resources provided by partner entities to collaborate with higher education institutions, businesses, industries, government, and non-governmental organizations in a sustainable and mutually beneficial manner. The program aims to foster advantageous partnerships between partners and higher education institutions according to a predetermined scheme.
In 2024, several innovators submitted their proposals for the Kedaireka Program. Among them, two proposals were selected as winners:
- Dr. drg. Indra Bramanti, M.Sc., Sp.KGA., K-PKOA, with the project titled INOVIA: “Innovation of View and Auditory,”a virtual reality-based aid to reduce children's fear during dental treatments.
- Drg. Hendri Susanto, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.PM with the project titled Artificial Saliva Based on Catfish Mucin (Clarias sp) for Treating Dry Mouth Conditions.
In addition to the two winners, three other finalists also submitted innovative proposals:
- Dr. drg. Archadian Nuryanti, M.Kes – Nanospray “Herro-galut” from fragrant pandan leaves, clove essential oil, and chitosan for treating oral wounds.
- Drg. H. Dedy Kusuma Y., M.Biotech., Ph.D – TerMa, an oral cavity simulator.
- Dr. Dyah Listyarifah, M.Sc., D.Med.Sci. – I-BOX, a portable imaging device for research samples.
By participating in activities such as the Kedaireka program, FKG UGM is committed to supporting and promoting innovation in dental and oral health. The winners and finalists are expected to bring about positive changes and improve the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia.
This aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well Being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and Goal 17 (Partnership and The Goals).
