In an effort to strengthen ties and exchange ideas in the field of dentistry, BEM KM FKG UGM organized a joint event with BEM FKG UNAIR titled "UGM Dental Visit BEM KM FKG UGM X Kunjungan Insidental BEM FKG UNAIR" held on 24 May 2024, and 25 May 2024. This event took place at two locations, Griya Kulon Yogya and the UGM Faculty of Dentistry Campus. The main objective of this event was to strengthen the relationship between BEM KM FKG UGM and BEM FKG UNAIR and to discuss current and future work programs.
On the first day, Friday, 24 May 2024, the event was held at Griya Kulon Yogya with a forum group discussion featuring material and a talk show from representatives of the FKG UNAIR and FKG UGM faculty members. The President of BEM FKG UNAIR, Achmad Faishal Salim, gave positive feedback on the talk show, stating that they gained a lot of new insights that are expected to be applied in their respective organizations and increase students' interest in participating in organizational activities.
On the second day, Saturday, 25 May 2024, the BEM FKG UNAIR group conducted a faculty tour at the UGM Faculty of Dentistry Campus, accompanied by friends from BEM KM FKG UGM. Rafael, a member of the External Affairs Department of BEM FKG UNAIR, expressed his positive impression of the event, particularly impressed with the large and green campus environment of FKG UGM despite its many buildings, facilities, and modern technology.
This activity not only strengthens the relationship between student organizations but is also expected to contribute positively to improving the quality of education and research in dentistry. Through the exchange of ideas and collaboration, both parties hope to implement more innovative and beneficial work programs for dental students in Indonesia.
This event is a strategic step in supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 4 on quality education, SDGs number 16 on peace, justice, and strong institutions, and SDGs number 17 on partnerships to achieve the goal. It also demonstrates the commitment of BEM KM FKG UGM and BEM FKG UNAIR to synergize and collaborate to realize beneficial work programs for their respective institutions.
