Prayudha Benni Setiawan, S.Kp.G., M.P.H is an academic and lecturer at the Department of Preventive Dentistry and Public Dental Health Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada. In the academic environment, he is better known as Pak Benni. Prayudha Benni Setiawan pursued an undergraduate degree (S1) in Dental Hygiene (S.Kp.G) and then continued his postgraduate studies for a Master's degree in Public Health (M.P.H). Prayudha Benni Setiawan's main areas of expertise include Community Dental Health and Health Informatics. In Community Dental Health, he is interested in developing dental disease prevention strategies through community intervention and community approaches. While in Health Informatics, he is concerned with how information technology can be used to improve understanding of public health issues.
Besides being an active educator, he is also involved in research and innovative development. One of his achievements is his involvement in learning innovations, such as developing eLearning grants using the eLOK platform and creating instructional videos beneficial to students.
Prayudha Benni Setiawan is engaged in several research projects and is actively seeking public and private research grants. His research themes encompass various aspects, from spatial analysis using Geographic Information System (GIS) approaches and sentiment analysis using Twitter social media data to other community-based research. As a concrete example of his work, with Prof. drg. Suryono, SH, MM, PhD, they successfully developed a toothpaste product under Propasdent, derived from a research project they received.
Prayudha Benni Setiawan is actively involved in academic and research activities and contributes to institutional management. He has served as the Secretary of the Dental Hygiene Study Program from 2022 to the present.
