drg. Elastria Widita acquired her dentist qualifications at the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, Indonesia, while she got her Master's in Health Law at the Graduate School, UGM. In 2010, she trained for one year as a young researcher for Global Oral Health in the WHO Collaborating Centre at Niigata University, Japan. In 2020, she got her PhD from The Graduate School of Medical and Dental Science at Niigata University, Japan. She has been working for the Faculty of Dentistry UGM since 2010. She belongs to the Department of Oral Medicine, lecturing for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs. She was the former Secretary of Dental Hygiene Undergraduate Program. She works as a clinician in a dental hospital and is the head of administration in the general and human resources divisions.

drg. Widita's major interest is in gerodontology, exploring the linkage between oral diseases and systemic diseases among the elderly population and in research in oral medicine and preventive dentistry. She works with the Department of Preventive Dentistry and Dental Public Health and Borrow Foundation to initiate a multidimensional oral health promotion program. Furthermore, she actively participates in community empowerment programs to promote societal health. She is an active member of the International Association of Dental Research, the Asian Academy of Preventive Dentistry and the Indonesian Society of Gerodontology. In 2021, she won the AAPD Lion Awards for Preventive Dentistry and was awarded as Outstanding Lecturer, Category for Innovation of Education through e-learning. She has a good connection with international experts in gerodontology, global oral health, dental hygiene, and health law. drg. Widita succeeded in bringing international collaboration and developed various international programs. She is also involved in the quality of healthcare and education systems. drg. Widita was appointed as the lead team of Hospital Accreditation and successfully led the team to bring the highest level of accreditation. She has joined the International Society for Quality of Healthcare (ISQua) and Fellowship Programme. She is also involved in the quality of the education assurance system as an internal auditor for UGM.
