Dr. Cendrawasih Andusyana Farmasyanti, drg., MKes., Sp.Ort., Subsp. DDTK (K) is an esteemed Associate Professor and researcher in the Department of Orthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta. Her areas of specialization and interest include Cleft Lip and Palate, Biology of Tooth Movement, Orthodontic Technology, Dentocraniofacial Growth and Development, Dentofacial Orthopedics, Orthodontic Dental Materials, Medical Orthodontics, Dentocraniofacial Dysharmony of Growth and Development Treatment, and Orthognathic Surgery. drg. Cendrawasih also practices as an orthodontic specialist based in Yogyakarta. Her innovative approach to patient care, particularly in complex cases, has significantly enriched her clinical experience and greatly influenced orthodontic practice in Indonesia.

Dr. Cendrawasih began her educational journey at SMPN 1 Yogyakarta, graduating in 1975, followed by SMAN 4 Yogyakarta, graduating in 1978. She earned her dentist profession degree from the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada, in 1987. She furthered her education by completing a Master's in Basic Medical Sciences, specializing in macro anatomy, from the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing UGM in 1998. Her academic journey culminated with a Doctorate in 2020 from FKG UGM. She obtained her orthodontic specialization 2002 and became a Subspecialist in Dentocraniofacial Disharmony Growth and Development Treatment (Sp. Ort Subs DDTK) in 2021.

As an influential figure in dental medicine, Dr. Cendrawasih has demonstrated remarkable dedication. She served as the Head of the Publication Unit at FKG UGM from 2013 to 2017, successfully leading the accreditation of the Majalah Kedokteran Gigi Indonesia Sinta. She has made significant contributions to PDGI Sleman in professional organizations, progressing from the Education Division to Vice Chair of PDGI Sleman and, subsequently, Secretary of IKORTI DIY JATENG. Since 2022, she has held the prestigious position of Chairperson of KORTI DIY JATENG, underscoring her commitment to advancing dentistry and orthodontics. 

Dr. Cendrawasih has received numerous awards and recognitions at both national and international levels. She has contributed to many scientific publications and is frequently invited to speak at national orthodontic conferences and seminars by IKORTI and PDGI. Internationally, she has participated in the call for papers in Taipei in 2017, the Yokohama conference in 2020, and the Korean Association of Orthodontists forums. drg. Cendrawasih has also contributed to several significant scientific publications. One of her works discusses the impact of pentagamavunon-0 (PGV-0) as an alternative analgesic in orthodontic tooth movement in rats published in the Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry. Another study explored the effects of adding propolis to resin-modified glass ionomer cement to prevent the growth of Streptococcus mutans, published in F1000 Research. Additionally, she co-authored a publication on the interdisciplinary management of Class III malocclusion in cleft lip and palate cases, published in the Dental Journal.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Cendrawasih has a variety of hobbies that contribute to her well-rounded personality. She enjoys singing, exploring culinary delights, and engaging in in-depth literacy activities. These hobbies provide her with a balanced life and help maintain her enthusiasm for her profession. Dr. Cendrawasih's primary motivation is results-oriented. She firmly believes every effort and hard work should yield significant positive impacts. With a clear vision, strong commitment, and a passion for sharing knowledge and achieving exceptional results, Dr. Cendrawasih embodies the motto of the Orthodontics Department at FKG UGM: courageous, reliable, punctual, and globally recognized.
