Dr. drg. Indra Bramanti, Sp.KGA (K).,M.Sc

Dr. drg. Indra Bramanti, M.Sc., Sp.KGA (K-PKOA), is a staff member in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) Yogyakarta. She is an alumna of UGM, having completed her undergraduate studies and her doctoral degree in 2019.

She obtained her dentist profession (drg.) degree in 2004, followed by her specialization in Pediatric Dentistry (Sp.KGA) in 2007. In 2012, she completed her Master of Science (M.Sc.) studies in the Basic Medical Sciences and Biomedical Program at FKKMK UGM with a focus on Pharmacology. Her doctoral education was pursued at FKG UGM, earning her the title of Doctor (Dr.) in 2019 with a dissertation topic on the development of herbal medicine in pediatric dentistry. The same year, she also received recognition as a consultant (Subps. PKOA (K)) from the Indonesian Pediatric Dentistry College specializing in Pediatric Oral Disorders and Diseases.

Apart from teaching, she is actively involved in research and community service in the field of Pediatric Dentistry and Herbal Medicine Development. Research studies, industry collaborations, and research grants have been presented at national and international pediatric dentistry scientific seminars and published in reputable national and international scientific journals. In addition to fulfilling the duties of a university lecturer (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi), she also holds positions in professional organizations such as the Indonesian Society of Pediatric Dentists (IDGAI). She is a member of the Indonesian Pharmacology Association (IKAFARI). 

With her experience in academia and organizational roles, she is frequently invited as a speaker at national-level scientific seminars. She enjoys mentoring students in innovation through the Student Creativity Program organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek DIKTI), leading to her role as a Student Creativity Mentor at UGM. Currently, she is focusing on research and innovation in dental examination support products with the hope of contributing to the independence of domestic health equipment. Therefore, she has participated in various research grants for health equipment innovation, such as the Matching Fund Program (Kedaireka), Innovation Grants, and RISTEK BRIN Grants, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite her busy schedule, she still finds time for writing. One of her contributions is co-writing the book “Karies Gigi: Perspektif terkini Aspek Biologis, Klinis, dan Komunitas” and an educational calendar about Covid-19 adaptation named Ka Eco, which serves as an educational tool for the public regarding the new normal during the COVID-19 pandemic era.
