The Specialist Study Program in Dental Conservation at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada, is an educational program aimed at achieving specific competencies and advancing the education level beyond general dentistry. The educational components include content, processes, graduate competencies, teaching staff/education, facilities and infrastructure, management, financing, and educational evaluation. The goal of the Specialist Study Program in Dental Conservation at FKG UGM is to educate dentists to become professional, ethical, and skilled dental conservation specialists covering clinical cariology, restoration technology, and endodontics, including both conventional and specialized treatments.
The Specialist Study Program in Dental Conservation educates participants/dentists through a series of learning experiences to complete an education curriculum covering knowledge, skills, and behavioral attitudes as a professional dental conservation specialist capable of addressing specialized dental conservation issues in Indonesia. This ability is supported by health principles aligned with dental science developments based on human genetics and non-technological advancements, as well as societal demands in a specialized dental health care system focusing on promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative approaches, thus enabling competitiveness on a global scale.
