FKG UGM Holds Staff Development Program at Drini Park

The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), held a staff development activity in the form of a recreational outing for its academic and administrative staff. The event aimed to refresh work motivation while strengthening camaraderie and teamwork within the faculty community.

A total of 195 participants, consisting of administrative staff and faculty members, took part in the program, which was conducted in two groups on 31 August 2025 and 13 September 2025. The chosen destination was Drini Park, located in Gunung Kidul.

The Dean of FKG UGM, Prof. drg. Suryono, S.H., M.M., Ph.D., highlighted the importance of recreational activities as a way to foster positive relationships and reinforce workplace solidarity. “We hope this activity serves as a bonding moment for all FKG UGM staff. Through shared experiences like this, the spirit of cooperation and sense of family within the faculty can continue to flourish,” stated Prof. Suryono.

Meanwhile, Wulansari, S.S., Head of the Administrative Office of FKG UGM, noted that this development program is an annual agenda. “This activity is an opportunity to unwind from the intensity of daily work routines. Beyond refreshing the mind, it also strengthens relationships among colleagues,” she said.

A lively and cheerful atmosphere was felt throughout the program. Participants enjoyed a variety of recreational activities, including group games, sightseeing along the coastal landscape, and off-road jeep adventures.

Dody Hendro, staff member from the Information Technology Unit, expressed his appreciation for the event, noting its role in building connections across units. “Usually we interact only in work-related contexts. Through this activity, we get to know each other better and truly feel like one big family,” he shared.

Similarly, Vona Prasmita from the Academic Unit said she enjoyed the event as a refreshing break that helped restore motivation amid busy academic schedules. “It was a fun and engaging activity. It also provided a great opportunity to get to know colleagues more closely,” she added.
