Congress & Seminar of the Interest Group in Dental Materials and Instruments (IPAMAGI) VIII

TIP IPAMAGI VIII was held on 26–29 June 2025 at Universitas Baiturrahmah, Padang, West Sumatra, with the theme Revolutionizing Dental Care: Application of Nanomaterials and Technology. Representatives from FKG UGM were drg. Pramudya Aditama, M.DSc., Sp.Pros., and drg. Dyah Anindya Widyasrini, MDSc. The series of events included: a congress with the main focus on discussing and formulating a standard curriculum for dental materials science in dentistry, which is expected to be implemented evenly across all Dental Education Institutions (IPDG) in Indonesia. In this forum, academics and practitioners from various universities actively discussed aligning perspectives, sharing experiences, and formulating strategic steps to improve the quality of dental materials education and the latest technology in Indonesia.

The TIP IPAMAGI VIII seminar was held at Hotel Pangeran Beach, Padang, featuring expert speakers in the field of dental materials. The seminar discussed the latest developments related to various types of dental materials and their applications in daily clinical practice, as well as the newest dental technologies.

This activity served as a platform for lecturers, students, and practitioners to gain up-to-date knowledge, broaden insights, and strengthen networks between institutions.

With the implementation of these two events, it is hoped that synergy will be created between the academic and clinical worlds in the development of science and technology in the field of dental materials in Indonesia.
