The Conservative Dentistry Specialist Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) held an Accreditation Form Workshop on 22-23 November 2024, at Grand Rohan Yogyakarta. This workshop aimed to refine the accreditation documents to maintain the program’s "Excellent" accreditation status. The two-day workshop gathered 47 participants, including lecturers, administrative staff, student representatives, experts, and facilitators. Working in teams, they focused on completing nine accreditation criteria based on the guidelines of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
The event was officially opened by Dr. drg. Tunjung Nugraheni, M.Kes., Sp.KG.(K), Head of the Conservative Dentistry Specialist Program, who emphasized the importance of accreditation as a commitment to educational quality. Workshop Highlights: Day 1 focused on initial accreditation criteria, including vision and mission, governance, and human resources. Interactive discussions and group presentations led to constructive input from experts. Day 2 covered advanced criteria, such as education, research, and community service. The event concluded with a wrap-up session, strategic discussions, and a group photo, symbolizing the spirit of collaboration in achieving a shared goal.
Key Achievements: completion of draft accreditation documents (Forms 3A and 3B) with improved structure, strengthening of team synergy among faculty and staff, enhanced understanding of BAN-PT accreditation standards, expert evaluations that helped refine narratives and data to meet assessment indicators. At the end of the workshop, participants mapped out follow-up actions to complete supporting data and finalize the accreditation documents before submission.
The workshop was officially closed by Dr. drg. Yulita Kristanti, M.Kes., Sp.KG.(K), Head of the Department of Conservative Dentistry, with high optimism that this initiative will elevate the program to new heights, both nationally and internationally. This workshop was more than just an administrative process—it demonstrated FKG UGM's dedication to providing high-quality education and supporting the Conservative Dentistry Specialist Program in achieving "Excellent" accreditation status.
