Yogyakarta, September 2024 – The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), has successfully obtained international accreditation from the Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics (ASIIN). This prestigious recognition has been granted to two of its flagship programs: the Bachelor of Dentistry Program and the Professional Dentist Program.
The accreditation was achieved after a comprehensive evaluation covering various aspects, including education quality, curriculum, supporting facilities, and graduate competency outcomes. The ASIIN assessors determined that the educational practices at FKG UGM meet international standards, making this accreditation a testament to the faculty’s commitment to academic excellence.
The ASIIN accreditation is valid for two years and is expected to serve as a strong foundation for FKG UGM in continuously meeting global education standards. This recognition not only enhances the faculty’s reputation internationally but also provides a competitive advantage for its graduates in the global job market.
The accreditation also opens up broader international collaboration opportunities in the field of dentistry, including research partnerships, academic exchanges, and joint curriculum development with global institutions.
This achievement indirectly supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
