Exciting news comes from the Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada. In July 2024, the Bachelor of Dental Medicine (S1 Kedokteran Gigi) and the Dentist Profession Education Programs (Profesi Dokter Gigi) successfully obtained the "UNGGUL" accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) of Indonesia.
After a long journey of preparation for accreditation, FKG UGM welcomed the LAM-PTKes for a field assessment visit on 25 and 26 June, 2024. It was finally announced that both the Bachelor of Dental Medicine and the Dentist Profession Education programs passed the assessment and were awarded the "UNGGUL" accreditation, the highest possible distinction. This was formalized under Decree Number 0446/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Sar/VII/2024 for the Bachelor of Dental Medicine program and 0447/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Pro/VII/2024 for the Dentist Profession Education program.
This outstanding achievement is a result of the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, including the Dean's team, the Heads and Secretaries of the Bachelor and Professional programs, the Quality Assurance Unit, the Form Filling Team, the Accreditation Team, lecturers, the management of the UGM Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) Prof. Soedomo, and all the academic staff of FKG UGM who actively participated in the entire accreditation process.
This accomplishment is a testament to FKG UGM's commitment to realizing its vision of becoming a leading world-class Faculty of Dentistry in Indonesia, serving the interests of the nation and humanity, guided by national cultural values and based on Pancasila.
