Six students from the Prosthodontics Specialist Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), took part in the National Competency Exam, achieving impressive and commendable results. This exam period was held at Hasanuddin University, Makassar, on 29-30 June 2024.
The PPDGS Competency Exam is an evaluation designed to measure how well a dentist who has completed specialist education in a specific field has mastered the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required to practice as a specialist. This exam consists of three types: the Computer Based Test (CBT), the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), and the Structured Oral Case Analysis (SOCA).
In this competency exam, students from FKG UGM achieved several top rankings. drg. Jessica Regina, Sp.Pros., emerged as the overall champion, winning first place in the OSCE, first place in SOCA, and second place in the CBT. This outstanding achievement further strengthens the reputation of FKG UGM as one of the leading centers for prosthodontics specialist education in Indonesia.
“I am very grateful for the achievements I have attained. This success is all thanks to the support of my family, friends, and professors. This accomplishment also motivates me to continue learning and developing myself in the field of prosthodontics,” said drg. Jessica.
In addition to drg. Jessica Regina, several other FKG UGM students also achieved notable success, including:
- drg. Jonathan Antono Sp.Pros: 3rd Place in OSCE and 3 rd Runner-Up in SOCA
- drg. Kenny Wijaya Sp.Pros: 2nd Runner-Up in SOCA
- drg. Yuli Tri Wijayanti, Sp.Pros: 1st Runner-Up in OSCE
- drg. Dian Samuel, Sp.Pros: 2nd Runner-Up in OSCE
These achievements demonstrate that FKG UGM has successfully fulfilled its role as a higher education institution committed to producing high-quality graduates who are highly competitive.
