Our department focuses intimately on pediatric/adolescent growth and development, oral and dental disease causality and prevention, child psychology and management, and all aspects of the highly-specialized pediatric restorative techniques and modalities. We also specialized in the care of difable patients, such as children with cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and autism. More over, our department places special importance in preventing tooth decay. Our studies showed that poor oral health care in children somehow can lead to impaired school performance. Therefore, our community service activities focus on giving advice about the importance of developing healthy eating habits and other ways to prevent oral and dental disease from occurring. Nowdays, we investigate the efficacy of some indigenous resources to prevent oral and dental diseases in children.
