The Senate of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held a Workshop on the Evaluation of 2023 Work and the Formulation of the 2024 Senate Work Plan from Monday (26/02) to Wednesday (28/02). The event took place at Hotel Santika Gunungkidul and was attended by 37 participants, including 35 Senate members of the Faculty.
The event was opened with a speech by the Dean of FKG UGM, Prof. drg. Suryono, S.H., M.M., Ph.D., followed by the Senate Report session delivered by the Senate Chair, Prof. drg. Tetiana Haniastuti, M.Kes., Ph.D.
The workshop featured a Sharing Session, with speakers Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Deendarlianto, S.T., M.Eng., and Prof. drg. Tetiana Haniastuti, M.Kes., Ph.D., moderated by Prof. drg. Supriatno, M.Kes., MDSc., Ph.D., and Prof. drg. Ika Dewi Ana, M.Kes., Ph.D.
Prof. Deendarlianto, commonly known as Prof. Deen, presented a session titled “Development in Building a Concept of Knowledge Fields in KBK Energy” to the workshop participants.
“At the Faculty of Engineering, Knowledge Field Groups (KBK) have been formed to synergize different fields by mapping human resources, research, scientific development, and curriculum,” explained the lecturer from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UGM, during his presentation.
“We need to study the history of the establishment of study programs to understand the foundational fields of knowledge behind their creation. If the fields of one study program overlap with another, there needs to be synergy,” he continued.
“The key point is that we must come together to map out our respective fields of knowledge and identify where they intersect,” concluded Prof. Deen, wrapping up the discussion session after his presentation.
The workshops then moved on to discuss the realization reports of the 2023 Work Plan by each commission in the Senate of FKG UGM, namely Commission I, Commission II, and Commission III, as well as the formulation of the 2024 Work Plan.
The Workshop on the Evaluation of 2023 Work and the Formulation of the 2024 Senate Work Plan focused on planning the education curriculum at FKG UGM, along with its supporting infrastructure, which aligns closely with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) particularly the fourth pillar (Quality Education), ninth (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), the sixteenth (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and the seventeenth (Partnerships for the Goals).
