On Wednesday (23/08/2023), FKG UGM organized a Training on 3D Printing Techniques for Biomedical Applications. In 2022, FKG UGM acquired a three-dimensional (3D) printer for biomedical applications in dental medicine through the "Kedaireka" Matching Fund scheme
Generally, 3D bioprinting uses a layer-by-layer method with various biomaterials such as polymers, ceramics, composites, and even bioinks to create tissue-like structures used in biomedical engineering and tissue engineering.
Mastery of 3D printing and bioprinting techniques is essential to support the success of regenerative therapies in both medicine and dental medicine. Kisma Aruna Candra and their team led the practical session. More than 50 participants from various disciplines and backgrounds enthusiastically participated in the event.
