Departement
Conservative Dentistry
The Conservative Dentistry Department organizes and develops the Science and Technology of Conservative Dentistry through the Higher Education Tri Dharma. Conservative Dentistry studies hard tissues, pulp tissues, and periradicular tissues from preventive, promotive, and rehabilitative aspects to restore dental function within the stomatognathic system. In order to fulfill its commitment to national interests, the Conservative Dentistry Department established the Conservative Dentistry Study Program in 1984, which has produced many reliable specialist dentists.
The components of the specialist dentist education program include content, process, graduate competencies, educational staff, facilities and infrastructure, management, financing, and education process evaluation. The Specialist Dentist Education Program program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada aims to educate dentists to become professional, ethical, and skilled specialist dentists in conservative dentistry, including clinical cariology, restoration technology, and endodontics for both conventional and specialized treatments. The Specialist Dentist Education Program in conservative dentistry educates participants/dentists through a series of learning experiences to complete the education curriculum covering knowledge, skills, and behavioral attitudes as a professional specialist dentist in conservative dentistry capable of addressing specialized dental conservation problems in Indonesia.
