The principles of OHS must be applied in every work environment, including in building\/infrastructure. Building infrastructure safety management encompasses many aspects, including work safety, fire prevention and management, emergency response, occupational health, and environmental safety.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Safety in building infrastructure, especially in multi-story buildings, is crucial. This is due to the characteristics of multi-story buildings, such as diverse occupants, limited access, relatively rapid spread of hazards, limited external assistance, and the presence of many easily flammable materials indoors. There are many potential hazards in multi-story buildings; therefore, there needs to be building infrastructure safety management that can mitigate these hazards. The goal of building infrastructure safety management is to prepare for all disasters or undesirable events, minimize potential losses and casualties, increase awareness of all parties, especially building occupants, so they can participate in disaster response processes, and protect the public from dangers or disaster impacts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The government has established standards for building infrastructure safety outlined in Minister of Health Regulation No. 48 of 2016 Regarding Office Safety and Health Standards. This regulation discusses office disaster preparedness, including emergency response management, building fire safety management, evacuation, mechanical and electrical systems, and first aid in accidents (P3K).\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On Thursday (17\/11), FKG UGM welcomed a study tour visit on the Implementation of Building Infrastructure Safety from Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas). The team from Unhas consisted of 13 people led by the Head of the Health Insurance and Occupational Safety Subdirectorate Prof. Dr. Lalu Muhammad Saleh, SKM., M.Kes., accompanied by 4 assistants from the Infrastructure Safety Division PK4L UGM led by Coordinator Hendricus Sujatmiko, S.T.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The guests were warmly welcomed in the Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor of OECF Building, FKG UGM. \"We are delighted to visit UGM as it is one of the top universities in Indonesia,\" said Prof. Lalu in his opening remarks. \"Our team's visit here aims to understand and learn how building infrastructure safety management is conducted at FKG UGM, which we can apply at Unhas,\" he added.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\">Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and HR, drg. Margareta Rinastiti, M.Kes., Sp.KG(K)., Ph.D., as the head of FKG UGM, expressed her appreciation to the guests. Regarding the study tour topic, she explained, \"Our principle (FKG UGM) in managing building infrastructure is Zero Accident, which means a condition where an institution can minimize work accidents.\" She also added the efforts made by FKG UGM in implementing the Zero Accident principle. \"We have prepared facilities to facilitate evacuation processes in case of disasters or work accidents, including alarm buttons in several building corners and the availability of fire extinguishers. In addition, we have trained PK4L personnel ready to respond to disasters\/work accidents at any time,\" she elaborated.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The discussion session was complemented by the screening of a Safety Induction video prepared for the three FKG buildings, namely the Dental Learning Center (DLC) Building, Margono Soeradji Building, and OECF Building.
