Bramasto Purbo Sejati, Sp.BM.M.Subsp.T.M.T.M.J (K), stated in his remarks that the event focuses not only on improving clinical competence, but also on encouraging the emergence of dentists who are adaptive to technological developments and possess a strong spirit of social entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis theme was chosen to encourage oral healthcare professionals not only to excel technically, but also to develop technology-based social entrepreneurial mindsets,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that approximately 420 participants attended the event, representing diverse backgrounds ranging from undergraduate to doctoral students, general and specialist dentists, and healthcare practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver the next two days, participants will take part in scientific symposiums, <em>hands-on<\/em>training sessions, and student innovation competitions through the <em>3-minute pitch competition<\/em>,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entire series of events was centered in Yogyakarta as a space for collaboration and interdisciplinary, international knowledge exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Encouraging the Integration of Science, Technology, and Social Impact<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dean of FKG UGM, Prof. drg. Suryono, SH, MM, Ph.D., emphasized the importance of scientific forums such as this as platforms for knowledge sharing and strengthening professional networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI sincerely hope this forum becomes a meaningful space for sharing knowledge and strengthening collaboration in dentistry,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also highlighted the diversity of participants as a major strength in creating comprehensive scientific discourse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cParticipants come from various educational and professional backgrounds, ranging from students to specialist dentists. Gagah Daru Setiawan, MM, highlighted the evolving dynamics of the dental profession amid technological and social media developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDentists today can no longer rely solely on the knowledge acquired during university education; they must continuously develop themselves alongside technological and service advancements,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also emphasized the importance of maintaining professional ethics, particularly in the use of social media and interactions with patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPoor communication often becomes the source of problems, even leading to legal disputes. Therefore, <em>informed consent<\/em> must always be properly conducted,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, he highlighted the increasing public awareness and critical attitudes toward healthcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn the digital era, even minor mistakes can quickly go viral.
