The walking route was designed in the shape of an incisor tooth, symbolizing FKG UGM\u2019s identity: upright, clear, and at the forefront of oral health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The spirit of togetherness was further strengthened through a communal breakfast, live music entertainment, and various interactive activities. On the main stage, band performances and spontaneous audience participation created an inclusive atmosphere, breaking down structural barriers often present in large academic institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis opening format was intentionally designed to be light yet meaningful. Dies Natalis is not merely about the institution\u2019s age, but about reaffirming our shared values and sense of belonging,\u201d stated Dr. drg. Bramasto Purbo Sejati, Sp.B.M.M., Subsp. T.M.T.M.J.(K), Chair of the 78th Anniversary Committee of FKG UGM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Appreciation and Strengthening the Academic Network<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n During the next session, the committee presented awards to participants and units that actively contributed to the anniversary activities, including creative competitions and cross-departmental participation. The awards were presented openly on the main stage and warmly received by attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The event was attended by representatives of university leadership, deans of UGM\u2019s health cluster faculties, affiliated hospital leaders, the KAGIGAMA alumni association, as well as senior faculty members and respected elders of FKG UGM\u2014demonstrating the strong academic and professional network that has supported FKG UGM for 78 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A Long Journey Toward the Anniversary Peak<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The opening marked the beginning of a series of events running from January through April 2026. The agenda includes visits to retired senior faculty members, spiritual reflection gatherings and communal iftar, an Open Senate Meeting, sports and wellness activities, and community service under the theme \u201cDental Charity Tourism\u201d in the Gunungkidul tourism area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As the academic highlight, FKG UGM will host a national and international Symposium, Hands-on Workshop, and Dental Exhibition, addressing current issues such as tele-dentistry, digital clinical workflows, and professional ethics in the era of health transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At 78 years of age, FKG UGM positions its anniversary not merely as a historical celebration, but as a marker of future direction.
