Karena sumbernya yang relatif mudah diperoleh dan sifatnya yang multipoten, SHED menarik perhatian dalam bidang regeneratif serta penyembuhan luka jaringan lunak dan keras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nanoemulgel Spent Medium SHED dan Reepitelisasi<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sebuah studi oleh mahasiswa FKG UGM, Fiorentina Desmonda Tabita, dengan bimbingan Prof. Dr. drg. Juni Handajani, M.KE., Ph.D. PBO, dan Dr. drg. Alma Linggar Jonarta, M.Kes. berjudul <em>\u201cPengaruh Nanoemulgel Spent Medium SHED terhadap Proses Re-epitelisasi Penyembuhan Luka (pada mukosa bukal tikus)\u201d<\/em> memfokuskan pada efek medium bekas pertumbuhan SHED (spent medium) yang diformulasikan dalam bentuk nanoemulgel sebagai terapi luka rongga mulut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Model luka dibuat pada mukosa bukal tikus dengan ukuran diameter 3 mm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aplikasi nanoemulgel spent medium SHED dilakukan pada hari 0, 1, 2, dan 3 setelah luka, dengan pengamatan ukuran luka dan ketebalan epitel pada hari ke-3, ke-5, ke-7, dan ke-14.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kedua kelompok (kontrol dan perlakuan) menunjukkan penurunan diameter luka dan peningkatan ketebalan epitel seiring waktu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Namun, <strong>nanoemulgel spent medium SHED<\/strong> mempercepat proses re-epitelisasi luka mukosa bukal secara signifikan dibanding kontrol pada hari ke-5 dan ke-7.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Efek ini diasosiasikan dengan aktivitas sitokin dan faktor pertumbuhan yang terkandung dalam medium bekas SHED.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa produk metabolik atau sekret dari SHED (yang terdapat dalam spent medium) dapat dioptimalkan melalui formulasi nanoemulgel untuk merangsang penyembuhan dan regenerasi jaringan mukosa oral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Karakteristik dan Potensi SHED<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Berdasarkan latar belakang penelitian dan literatur terkait, beberapa karakteristik dan potensi SHED adalah:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sumber yang mudah diperoleh<\/strong><br>Karena SHED berasal dari pulpa gigi susu, yang secara alamiah tanggal, pengambilannya relatif minim risiko dibanding penggunaan sel punca dari jaringan invasif.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kemampuan multipoten<\/strong><br>SHED dapat berdiferensiasi menjadi beberapa jenis sel jaringan keras dan lunak, seperti osteoblas, kondrosit, sel saraf, dan fibroblas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sekresi faktor pertumbuhan &amp; sitokin<\/strong><br>Efek positif nanoemulgel medium SHED menghasilkan penyembuhan luka karena kandungan faktor-faktor pertumbuhan (misalnya EGF, VEGF, TGF-\u03b2) dan molekul sinyal lain yang merangsang proliferasi sel epitel, migrasi sel, angiogenesis, dan reorganisasi jaringan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Potensi aplikasi klinis<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Terapi luka mukosa (oral)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regenerasi jaringan lunak dan tulang di kedokteran gigi (misalnya gingiva, periodonsium, tulang alveolar)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pelengkap material biomimetik atau scaffold untuk perbaikan jaringan dalam aplikasi bedah mulut dan implantologi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Challenges and Considerations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Efektivitas dan keamanan jangka panjang nanoemulgel spent medium perlu dievaluasi, termasuk potensi efek imun, sitotoksisitas, dan integritas epitel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Standarisasi medium, konsentrasi faktor pertumbuhan, dan metode formulasi nanoemulgel penting agar hasil dapat direproduksi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Translasi dari model hewan ke manusia memerlukan studi klinis lebih lanjut untuk memastikan efisiensi dan keamanan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>*<\/strong>**<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SHED merupakan sumber sel punca oral dengan potensi tinggi untuk aplikasi terapeutik. Penelitian dengan nanoemulgel spent medium SHED menunjukkan kemampuan meningkatkan kecepatan re-epitelisasi luka mukosa oral. Strategi memanfaatkan produk sekretori (spent medium) dari SHED dalam formulasi nanoemulgel membuka peluang besar dalam terapi regeneratif jaringan lunak di kedokteran gigi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>References<\/strong><br><strong>Fiorentina Desmonda Tabita, Prof. Dr. drg.
