This condition not only affects appearance but can also impact overall health, including the ability to perform daily activities. Managing missing teeth is crucial for maintaining oral health and overall quality of life. There are various conservation and rehabilitation options available to address this issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Understanding Tooth Loss and Its Impact<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tooth loss can be caused by various factors, including tooth decay, gum disease, trauma, or injury. According to a study conducted by FKG UGM student Hevny Izzah O, under the supervision of <a href=\"https:\/\/fkg.ugm.ac.id\/id\/organisasi-fakultas\/drg-ivan-arie-wahyudi\/\">drg. Ivan Arie Wahyudi, M.Kes., Ph.D<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/fkg.ugm.ac.id\/id\/organisasi-fakultas\/drg-elastria-widita\/\">drg. Elastria Widita, M.Sc., Ph.D.<\/a> , on The Relationship Between Tooth Loss and Physical Activity in the Elderly, it was found that missing teeth significantly affect an individual\u2019s physical abilities, especially among older adults. This highlights the importance of dental health not only for oral function but also for overall quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rehabilitation Options<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Several more permanent and invasive rehabilitation options are available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>a. Dental Implants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dental implants are among the best solutions for replacing missing teeth. This procedure involves inserting titanium screws into the jawbone, serving as artificial roots. Once the implant fuses with the bone, a crown is placed on top. Dental implants look and function like natural teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>b. Removable Partial Dentures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those with several missing teeth, removable partial dentures can serve as an alternative. These are prosthetics designed to fill the spaces left by missing teeth and can be taken out or worn as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Importance of Consulting a Dentist<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Choosing the best solution for missing teeth should be done in consultation with a dentist. A dentist will evaluate oral health conditions and offer suitable options based on the patient\u2019s needs and preferences.
