This activity provided residents with the opportunity to learn about the use of Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) and PRF membranes in endodontic surgical procedures. The session was led by Prof. Drg. Diatri Nari Ratih, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.KG.(K) and Drg. Henytaria Fajrianti, Sp.KG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PRF is derived from a blood centrifugation process that aims to separate platelet-rich plasma. In the context of endodontic surgery, the use of PRF and its membrane holds great potential to accelerate postoperative healing, reduce inflammation, and minimize the risk of infection in periapical tissues. PRF aids in tissue regeneration and enhances the quality of the surrounding tissue of an endodontically treated tooth, thus reducing the likelihood of treatment failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the session, residents gained in-depth knowledge of PRF extraction techniques, PRF membrane preparation, and its application in endodontic surgery. Discussions also covered clinical challenges in PRF implementation and strategies to optimize the benefits of this technology to support successful endodontic therapy. This activity provided residents with new insights into modern technological applications in endodontic practice and enriched their skills to ensure more effective and successful treatments in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative also supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by introducing innovative technologies to improve patient healing processes, and Goal 4 (Quality Education) by providing practical skills training for residents, enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in the field of dentistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Contributor: drg.
