Saturday (30\/11\/2024) \u2013 The second day of the ethicolegal workshop at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) continued to provide valuable insights for healthcare professionals. Under the theme \"Ethics and Code of Conduct as the Pillars of Healthcare Professionalism,\" the event featured Dr. Diah Arimbi, S.Si.T., M.H. as the keynote speaker, moderated by drg. Achmad Zamzam Aghasy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Diah opened the session by emphasizing the essential role of ethical codes as moral and professional guidelines that set the standard for healthcare professionals\u2019 conduct.\n\"Ethics is not just about distinguishing right from wrong but about how these values are applied in everyday practice,\" she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The discussion focused on fundamental principles of professional ethics, including autonomy, justice, beneficence, and non-maleficence. Dr. Diah highlighted the importance of respecting patients' rights, from maintaining data confidentiality to ensuring freedom of choice in treatment decisions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
