{"id":13001,"date":"2024-11-29T16:01:17","date_gmt":"2024-11-29T09:01:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fkg.ugm.ac.id\/?p=13001"},"modified":"2024-12-09T07:39:00","modified_gmt":"2024-12-09T00:39:00","slug":"menyongsong-tantangan-baru-profesi-kesehatan-di-era-uu-no-17-tahun-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fkg.ugm.ac.id\/en\/menyongsong-tantangan-baru-profesi-kesehatan-di-era-uu-no-17-tahun-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Embracing New Challenges in the Healthcare Profession Under Law No. 17 of 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an era of dynamic healthcare regulatory changes, the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) has taken the lead in addressing the challenges of Law No. 17 of 2023 through a workshop titled \"Practical Guidelines on Ethics, Discipline, and Health Law: Post-Implementation of Law No. 17 of 2023 for Healthcare and Medical Professionals.\" Held on 29-30 November 2024, through iDSDC's training unit, the event successfully attracted healthcare professionals eager to explore strategic and relevant issues in their field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dean of FKG UGM, Prof. Drg. Suryono, S.H., M.M., Ph.D., opened the first day of the workshop by highlighting the impact of Law No. 17 of 2023, which replaces several older regulations, including the Medical Practice Law and the Medical Education Law.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"This law reshapes the governance of medical professions while presenting both new opportunities and challenges, especially in navigating the increasingly competitive era of healthcare industrialization,\" he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the key topics discussed was the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and the importance of patient data protection. Prof. Suryono emphasized that AI regulation in Indonesia must align with existing ethical and legal principles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"AI should enhance the quality of healthcare services without compromising patient rights,\" he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the following sessions, the workshop provided in-depth insights into the application of ethics and legal principles in daily medical practice. Featuring legal and healthcare experts such as Dr. Drg. Edi Sumarwanto, M.M., MH.Kes., participants gained a comprehensive understanding of ethical and legal case resolution strategies and learned how to develop policies in compliance with the latest regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his presentation, Dr. Edi emphasized the importance of distinguishing between legal, ethical, and disciplinary aspects in medical practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"The combination of these three aspects is crucial for maintaining the credibility of the healthcare profession in the eyes of both the public and the legal system,\" he stated.
