As the field of dentistry advances, the demand for radiology specialists continues to grow. Radiology plays a crucial role in optimizing dental and oral healthcare services. To address this challenge, the Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) held a Workshop on the Preparation of the Academic Manuscript for the Establishment of the Dental Radiology Specialist Program on 18 October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event featured two expert speakers, Prof. Dr. Eha Renwi Astuti and Dr. Drg. Menik Priaminiarti, who provided guidance in drafting the academic manuscript.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting served as a pivotal moment in preparing the new specialist education program. Dean Suryono emphasized the importance of optimizing this initiative. With expert guidance, he hoped that this forum would mark a strong beginning for developing an academic manuscript focused on enhancing education quality and human resources in healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am confident that we can expedite the realization of the Dental Radiology Specialist Program before any regulatory changes take effect. This program will contribute to fulfilling the need for dental radiology specialists,\u201d said Suryono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During a discussion session with members of the Dentomaxillofacial Radiology Department at FKG UGM, Prof. Drg. Eha Renwi Astuti stated that the academic manuscript serves as a key document in the submission of the educational program. She noted that there is likely no academic manuscript recommendation from the Dental Radiology Collegium, making it necessary to utilize the university\u2019s academic manuscript. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Indonesian Medical Council wants to see the vision and mission, curriculum, facilities, and availability of human resources carefully evaluated,\u201d explained Prof. Renwi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FKG UGM remains optimistic about accelerating the establishment of the Dental Radiology Specialist Program. This program is expected to become a crucial pillar in supporting high-quality modern healthcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Previously, FKG UGM had successfully established the Oral Medicine Specialist Program, which has attracted many prospective specialist dentists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
