Allergies to certain materials, such as amalgam, composite, or specific metals, can cause irritation, pain, or even systemic allergic reactions. Therefore, dentists typically conduct a thorough evaluation before deciding which filling material to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safe Filling Materials for Allergy-Prone Patients<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Glass Ionomer<\/strong>
    This material tends to be safe as it is made from glass powder and acrylic acid. Glass ionomer is often used for small cavities and has a low allergy risk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Porcelain or Ceramic<\/strong>
    These fillings are ideal for patients allergic to metal materials. In addition to being durable, porcelain closely resembles the natural color of teeth and does not trigger allergic reactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
