{"id":10949,"date":"2024-09-02T07:07:16","date_gmt":"2024-09-02T00:07:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fkg.ugm.ac.id\/?p=10949"},"modified":"2024-11-05T10:21:39","modified_gmt":"2024-11-05T03:21:39","slug":"responsi-biomaterial-topik-restorasi-gigi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fkg.ugm.ac.id\/en\/responsi-biomaterial-topik-restorasi-gigi\/","title":{"rendered":"Biomaterials Assessment on Dental Restoration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday, 2 September 2024, fifth-semester <a href=\"https:\/\/fkg.ugm.ac.id\/id\/s1-kedokteran-gigi\/\">Bachelor in Dentistry<\/a> participated in a Biomaterials Assessment held at the DLC Laboratory, First Floor, focusing on the topic of \u201cDental Restoration.\u201d This activity aims to evaluate the students' understanding of key materials used in dental restorations, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the practical session, students explored various topics, such as manipulating acrylic resin, testing the depth of composite resin polymerization, handling luting and base cements, and manipulating glass ionomer cement. Mastery of these practical skills is crucial for future dental practitioners to ensure they are prepared to deliver high-quality care to patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After completing the practical session, fifth-semester undergraduate students are required to participate in a written assessment to evaluate their comprehension of the materials and techniques they practiced. Only students who meet the prerequisites are permitted to take the assessment, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high academic standards in dental education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to the assessment, students were briefed on the rules and procedures to ensure all participants fully understood the assessment process. This briefing is essential in ensuring a smooth and orderly conduct of the session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The activity not only offers students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge but also highlights the importance of hands-on experience in dentistry. By integrating practical learning with theoretical knowledge, the program aims to produce competent dentists who can contribute to the health and well-being of the wider community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Biomaterials Assessment held on 2 September 2024, is a significant event for fifth-semester undergraduate dental students. It not only provides them with essential practical skills but also reinforces the importance of education in shaping competent healthcare professionals.
