Advancements in Research in Indonesia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Aligned with global advancements, researchers in Indonesia are also making significant contributions to regenerative periodontal research. Dental faculties at leading universities in Indonesia have become research hubs focusing on modern technologies and biological materials to improve periodontal care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Research in Indonesia not only follows global developments but also adapts to local conditions and specific challenges faced by the community. In this context, the research conducted by drg. Kwartarini Murdiastuti, Sp.Perio(K), Ph.D., who currently serves as the head of the Periodontology Department and the Specialist Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada, stands out as a notable example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Kwartarini Murdiastuti\u2019s Contribution to Regenerative Periodontology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Kwartarini Murdiastuti has focused her research on the use of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) in combination with other biomaterials to accelerate periodontal tissue regeneration. PRP, which is a platelet concentrate from the patient\u2019s blood, contains various growth factors essential for the healing process. In her research, Dr. Kwartarini prepares PRP in a ready-to-use sterile powder form derived from donor blood and combines it with various materials to create an optimal environment for regenerating gum and bone tissues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This research not only provides new hope for patients with periodontal disease but also represents a significant contribution to the advancement of periodontology in Indonesia.
