At the 2024 Nomination for Exemplary Medical and Healthcare Professionals and Outstanding Cadres event, drg. Yenny Yokung Yong, MDSc., Sp.Perio, an alumna of the Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), was honored with the Most Favorite Exemplary Medical and Healthcare Professional award. This award was presented by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in the category of Referral Service Dedication for Medical Professionals on 16 August 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drg. Yenny, who graduated from the Master\u2019s Program in Clinical Dentistry with a focus on Periodontology at FKG UGM in 2016, won with 52% of the votes from <\/em>the conducted poll. She surpassed two other nominees, dr. Irnawati, Sp.M., M.Kes., and Dr. dr. Muhammad Nasir Ruki, S.Si., M.Kes., Apt.Sp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For the past 13 years, drg. Yenny has served as a Periodontics Specialist at RSUD Perpetua J. Safanpo in the Agats District of Asmat Regency, South Papua. In addition to providing healthcare through a mobile clinic<\/em> that reaches remote communities, she is actively involved in collaborating with local religious communities on social initiatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Her activities include blood donations, social services, nutritional education, and providing eggs for malnourished children. Drg. Yenny is also engaged in health education movements, such as promoting proper brushing techniques and teaching reading to primary school children in Asmat Regency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI am deeply grateful for this recognition. This award motivates me to continue delivering my best for the people in Papua, especially in Asmat. I believe that through collaboration and dedication, we can achieve a healthier and more empowered Indonesia,\u201d said drg. Yenny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This award not only reflects drg. Yenny\u2019s dedication to the healthcare field but also her contributions to education and social welfare in remote areas.
