|3. SPESIFIC SKILLS:|
|a. Be able to do anamnesis independently by collecting patient’s background data (family background, and psychosocial economy, disease and treatment history, oral treatment history, behaviour) that relevant with patient’s main lament through effective communication method for patient and patient’s families.
b. Be able to perform the general physical examination and stomatognathic system which includes extra and intraoral examination independently in paediatrics and adult patient accurately and be able to establish supporting examination according to indications a code of ethics.
c. Be able to record the results that are accurate and comprehensive, as a legal document that support oral care plans as well as the need for forensic odontology following Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) independently;
d. Be able to establish an initial diagnosis, differential diagnosis, final diagnosis, and determine the prognosis of abnormalities or oral diseases based on pathogenesis by considering the level of risk of illness through interpretation, analysis, and synthesis of patient examination results according to international classification standard (International Classification of Diseases) independently.
e. Be able to plan patient oral care through analysis of examination results, diagnosis and prognosis according to the concept of clinical dentistry, preventive dentistry, basic dentistry, clinical medicine and relevant biomedical sciences by considering the patient’s life cycle and social-cultural independently.
f. Be able to make a decision, conduct and evaluate the success of oral care in patients who are accompanied or comprehensively without medical compromise by prioritizing patient safely, professionals code of ethics, cost-effectiveness and oriented towards improving the quality of life independently.
g. Be able to use the material, equipment, and dental technology in patient’s oral care based on evaluation or research according to the indication to patient independently;
h. Be able to control pain, fear, and anxiety with pharmacological approaches and/or non-pharmacological to patients independently.
i. Be able to make studies independently and in groups about the issues in the field of dentistry to patients or communities, and propose innovative solutions with an evidence-based dentistry approach that can be academically accountable and code of ethics.
j. Be able to manage ergonomic work practices and the environment by applying health management principles including work safety, infection control, and green dentistry concept independently or in group.
k. Be able to take medical decisions according to clinical privilege to refer patients to colleagues and-/or other health care providers based on standard operating procedures independently.
l. Be able to compile, manage, and evaluate community oral health improvement programs, as well as the prevention of diseases or stomatognathic system in diseases based on results of analysis survey and epidemiological data (use evidence-based dentistry approach) independently.
m. Be able to manage the behavior of patients, families, and society by applying behavioral management principles independently or in groups.
n. Be able to collaborate among health professionals in managing the health of patients, families, and communities in groups; and
o. Be able to identify and take medical actions on emergency patients according to the basic life support and dental emergency procedures independently and in groups.

e. Be able to make decisions appropriately in solving problems in the dentistry field based on the results of data information analysis.
f. Be able to maintain and develop a working network with a supervisor, colleagues both inside and outside the institution.
g. Be able to respond over group work results and conduct supervision and evaluation to workers who are under the responsibility.
h. Be able to carry out self-evaluation process toward group work that under their responsibility and ability to manage to learn independently; and

Dental Professional (Co-assistant) program:
a. Be able to work as a dentist and have work competencies according to Indonesian dentistry competency standard.
b. Be able to take independent decisions in carrying out dental work based on logical thinking, critical, systematic, and creative.
c.Be able to compile reports or working papers in dentistry field based on the principle and standard procedure, as well as dentist code of ethics that can be freely accessed by the academic community.
d. Be able to communicate thoughts/opinions or work of innovations that are beneficial for the development of the dentist, and the entrepreneurship that can be scientifically accounted and dentist code of ethics to the general public and the professions.
e. Be able to do critical evaluations toward work results and decisions in carrying out their work by themselves and colleagues.
f. Be able to improve the dentist capability in a specific field through training and work experiences.
g. Be able to improve the quality of resources for developing strategic organizational programs.
